NICK Grimshaw today gave Virgin Radio listeners a taste of what they can expect when he fills in for Chris Evans next week.
The former Radio 1 star sounded comfortable from the off as he riffed with Chris inside Virgin towers.

There was no sign of the pre-show nerves that Nick admitted to feeling in the build up to his radio return.
He said: “I was a little bit scared last week but not this week because I came in on Tuesday and, you know when you’ve not been somewhere and you’re imagining the worst case scenario, and once I came in and sat on the chair I felt alright.”
Nick began by taking a trip down memory lane as he recalled his early career helping out at local stations up in Manchester.
A move to London followed, where he was branded an “office Bez” while on an internship. He spent a year exploring the world of television before an opportunity at Channel 4 came knocking.
After landing an agent, he got a cameo role on Annie Mac’s Sunday night radio show on Radio 1. Eventually he swapped the night time for the Weekend Breakfast Show, before landing his dream gig on the main weekday Breakfast Show.
He told Chris: “I wanted to do the Breakfast Show, not joking, because of you.”
The presenters joked about early start times, with Nick angling for a later slot.
But come Monday, he will be more than ready and raring to go, with Chris promising listeners “he’ll be better than new”.
When it was announced he was coming to the show, Nick said: “So excited to be back on the radio for the week looking after my childhood hero’s show! He’s the man who made me love radio and I can’t wait to be on next week everyday from 6.30am.”
Chris commented: “I love Grimmy both on the radio and in real life. I think he’s just all round fab. It’s been an honour and a pleasure to call him a friend for almost a decade and it’s a joy to now be able to say he’s also a colleague. I am thrilled he’s depping for me on the Virgin Radio Breakfast Show. Simply thrilled.”
