AS one of the most fancied women of the Noughties, Kelly Brook should have had very few hang-ups about her looks.
The first Brit to top lads’ mag FHM’s sexiest women list in 2005, she made the top ten more times than any other entrant.

But she has revealed she was more insecure as a pin-up than she is now.
Kelly, 43, said: “I always say I should love my body now because it’s the body I’ll wish I had in ten years’ time.
“But it’s easy to think your body isn’t good enough and want to look different.
“Even when I was a lot thinner I didn’t think I was good enough. You always think that when you’re younger.
“The best part about getting older is that all those insecurities just fade away. You think outside yourself and are no longer as self-obsessed or self-focused.
“Right now, I’m not thinking about my stomach hanging over my jeans. I’m thinking about feeding this little cat that’s just walked in my door.”
Kelly credits her new husband, actor-model Jeremy Parisi, for helping her keep her curvaceous figure — because she is happier than ever.

She explained: “I think I definitely had my moments of feeling very insecure. When you go through break-ups and things like that, it really impacts your diet, and some of my skinniest times were also some of my most miserable.”
‘Anxiety in my life’
Kelly, now a Heart FM radio host, continued: “Stress and anxiety play into how you look.
“It’s no coincidence I’m the happiest with my body now I’m married, I love my job, I love my colleagues, I’m older and everyone in my family seems to be healthy, touch wood.
“As someone who has been pictured pretty much every day of their lives, I can see the evidence of unhappy times — I look at pictures and go, ‘Oh, I was really skinny then’, then remember it was because something had happened.
“I’m so grateful that there’s nothing too significant going on now to cause anxiety in my life. I really cherish these times and have so much gratitude for times when everything is right.”
Indeed, from her holiday cottage in Kent, Kelly radiates happiness.
She tied the knot with Jeremy, her partner of seven years, in a romantic ceremony in July in the historic Cicerone Tower in the Italian coastal town of Civitavecchia.
She arranged the wedding, which was reported to have cost £500,000, in just six weeks, with a bridal gown by designer Savannah Miller that she described as “modern medieval” and A-list guests including Kylie Minogue.
Kelly said: “Getting married changes everything. It’s so nice. I feel like we’re family, not just girlfriend and boyfriend. He’s felt like family for a long time now.
“The wedding was great and we absolutely loved it. It was a typical Italian affair, with opera singers, fireworks and loads of food — everything I wanted it to be.”
The fairytale event came after years of heartache and failed engagements for Kelly.

She had a ring put on her finger four times before meeting Jeremy, including high-profile relationships with actors Jason Statham from 1998 to 2004, and Titanic star Billy Zane for four years until 2008.
Kelly then started a relationship with rugby star Thom Evans and he is said to have proposed in 2010 before they split in 2013.
There was also Gladiator David McIntosh, who popped the question in 2014 after they had dated for only one month.
But Kelly is quite matter-of-fact about her failed romances. In 2018 she told a radio show: “This is a bit mean to say but I’m going to be honest — I haven’t really had any memorable engagements.
“No grand gestures of romance or anything. So in my mind if I do ever get engaged again it will be The One, and I will go the whole way and get married, by the way.”
Kelly previously poked fun at her multiple engagements, revealing that one of them had happened after she went round to the mystery man’s house with something far more X-rated in mind.
Soon after the episode she said: “I have been engaged a few times. I’d kind of been dating this guy once.
“Actually I broke it off with him but I thought, ‘I’m in the area he’s in. Maybe I could call him up and go round and . . . ’
“So I get there, we have a lovely evening and all is great, and then he starts acting really strange. And he brings out a ring and proposes to me — when it was only meant to be a booty call.”
Now there are no more furtive late-night trips, as Kelly has finally found her happy ever after with 37-year-old Jeremy.
After meeting in 2015, the loved-up pair mainly spent their first couple of years together away from the limelight.
But when Kelly made a return to showbiz in 2017, she was taunted for having gone from a size 12 to a 16.
The former Page 3 girl looked amazing as she strutted the red carpet in a slinky black sequined dress for a film premiere but says she was devastated when snappers yelled at her to breathe in.
Determined to get back to her previous size, Kelly shed 2st and became an enthusiastic ambassador for weight management firm SlimFast.
But during lockdown she realised she was in danger of putting the weight back on when she had “a little bit of a wobble”, and decided she needed to take off a few pounds after leaving behind the “elasticated joggers that everyone was wearing”.

She said: “I think during the pandemic we all realised how much obesity plays into your health and how bad it is to be outside your healthy BMI.”
Despite her weight struggles, Kelly revealed she has never stepped on the scales since shedding the pounds.
She said: “I don’t think scales are an accurate representation of your body, how you feel and how you really are. If you’re training hard, running or doing weights, you can find yourself heavier on the scales because your fat is changing to muscle.
“You can be heavier but look thinner. I feel it can be a dangerous guide to where you’re at. To me, it’s all about how I feel in my clothes — if my jeans are comfortable or if I can get into that little dress.”
Kelly, who has been modelling since she was 16, used SlimFast to lose weight and even at her perfect size she still loves its nutritious protein-rich shakes.
She said: “If I’m rushing about I’ll just pick up a shake, especially at breakfast time. One shake has twice as much protein as an egg on toast and all the vitamins and minerals I need to get me through the day.
“It’s not just about main- taining weight but being healthy, too. I think you need to be happy in your own skin and just embrace getting older.
“You can’t expect to look the same way in your 40s as you did in your 20s. The message I want to get across is that it’s all about being the best version of yourself.”
