WOULD you let your little one sleep on the floor?
If you’re a parent, the chances are you put your baby to bed in a cot until they’re old enough for a little bed of their own.

But one woman has divided the internet after jumping on the floor bed trend, and people have a warning for her.
Instead of investing in a cute cot for her baby, Jamie Devergillo threw a queen size mattress on the nursery floor.
The self-confessed iced coffee lover has amassed 210,000 likes on her popular TikTok page and her recent reel boasts an impressive 697,000 views
Jamie, who calls the bed ‘comfortable and practical’, writes: “Our toddler sleeps on a queen size floor bed. She loves it.

“We get to snuggle with her and sneak out… or we stay with her some nights.
“It’s been the best decision we’ve made for our family. Soooo cosy.”
The clip shows Jamie’s little girl Daisy sleeping soundly on the floor bed with a soft blanket wrapped around her legs.
15-month-old Daisy looks as snug as a bug as she sleeps while cuddling her soft toy and dollies.
In a newer clip, Jamie goes on to explain: “Thank you for all the love on my original floor bed post.
“Daisy is 15 months, started this at 13 months.
“It is a low queen mattress – we are getting a new memory foam one and a wooden frame for under to air it out.”
Jamie’s update comes after trolls spoke up in their masses with their warnings.
“Be mindful of moisture being trapped… I had a floor bed that got mouldy on the floor side,” replied one fellow mum.
“All I know is when I sleep on a mattress on the floor I wake up with my back literally broken, so I won’t be a floor bed mum but whatever works for y’all,” said a second.
“Just be careful about having the mattress directly on the floor. There is no ventilation and mould will start growing IN the mattress and baby will get,” exclaimed a third.
But it wasn’t all bad vibes – Jamie’s bed hack got a lot of love, too.

“Floor bed mama, going on two years and loving it,” gushed a fellow mum.
“We bedshared until it finally just didn’t work for us anymore. Got our girl a full size floor bed and it was the best decision ever – we love it,” commented another.
