HOMEBASE is selling a rattan garden corner sofa for £300 and it looks just like Aldi’s sold out version.
The Alexandria four seater sofa is available online and in-stores, although you will have to fork out an extra £30 for it compared to Aldi’s one.
The four seater rattan sofa is only £300 from Homebase
The stylish sofa set is made out of a rattan wicker material and the grey seat and back cushions come included in the price.
Plus the cushion covers have zips for when you want to wash them too.
There is also a matching rattan effect table included, which features a toughened glass top.
The Homebase sofa only returned online last night but it is already currently out of stock for delivery.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
You can order it to collect for free from store though, or use Homebase’s locator tool to find your closest and see if it’s available to pick up off the shelf.
Once you type in your postcode, Homebase has a handy feature that shows you how many are left in stock at the various locations.
For example Homebase Basingstoke had 17 left in stock last time we checked, while Homebase Blandford only had one, and the numbers are running down quickly.
Aldi’s Anthracite Rattan Sofa is a cheaper alternative at £269.95, but it’s currently out of stock and doesn’t return for you to buy until this Sunday.
The discounter’s sofa boasts all the same features as Homebase’s, but it also comes with a weatherproof cover for the £270.
Aldi’s rattan sofa looks almost identical to Homebase’s but it’s currently sold-out
But the supermarket charges an additional delivery charge of £9.95 that you’ll have to factor into your spend.
You can also buy another almost identical sofa from Habitat for the exact same price as Homebase’s, but the set only seats three people and there’s minimal stock available online.
There’s a version being sold on B&Q too for £30 more at £330, but this one features different sections that you can pull apart and move about into the positioning of your liking.
The B&Q sofa also has a glass top table which you won’t find with Habitat’s or Aldi’s so you might have to weigh up if the extra money is worth the quirky feature.
Aldi is also selling a £30 hanging garden chair after the supermarket’s popular hanging egg chair sold out in a flash too.
But the supermarket’s Specialbuys were beat once again when the Range unveiled its fire pit and grill for under £50, which was £180 cheaper than Aldi’s version.
If you’re after more garden gear inspiration then B&Q has been selling a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub at some of its stores for £115 cheaper than normal.
