Lidl slashes price on baby products by 20% for Plus card users

LIDL has slashed the price of its Lupilu baby products for Plus card users.

If you have a Lidl Plus card you’ll be able to get 20% off the entire range for one week only.

The already low prices have 20% off if you have a Lidl Plus card

The card is virtual so you just have to download Lidl’s free app to claim.

The Plus card app lets you unlock money-off coupons when you reach your spending targets each month, and is a great way to save on Lidl’s already low prices.

Deals can be regional though, so not everyone will be able to claim this baby event offer – just type your postcode into the app to check if your local store qualifies.

For example shoppers in Lincolnshire and the West Midlands have lucked out this week with the 20% off deal.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

If you are within the qualifying area for the deal then you have until next Wednesday to claim the money-off baby products that’s running right now.

Lidl updates the Plus card deals every Thursday so once this one has run out you’ll be able to claim a fresh new one for other products, the day after.

Once you’ve set up an account and have the Plus card ready to go all you have to do is “activate” the latest voucher in the coupon section and take it along to the store to scan the Plus card QR code at the checkout.

You can only use the coupon once though so make sure you’ve picked up all the baby things you need in your shop.

You can’t buy Lidl products online so you’ll have to make a trip out to the shops to nab the deal and stock will be subject to availability – Lidl’s store finder will help you work out where your nearest is.

But it is always worth shopping around to check out if you could nab the products cheaper elsewhere – just because you can get a discount doesn’t mean it’s the bargain you want.

Here are some of the products you can get money-off if you have the Lidl Plus card and current promotion code.

The nappies are designed to provide all night dryness as well as being comfortable and breathable.

A jumbo pack of Pampers that you can buy from Ocado will set you back £8 even though it’s been reduced by 20% too.

This one is a 24 pack so less than half the size of Lidl’s jumbo version, but it works out to be only 3p per nappy so still considerably cheap.

The product won gold at the Made for Mum’s award last year so you won’t have to feel like you are missing out on quality with the low price either.

You can however nab yourself a free pack of nappies from Asda if you sign up to test the product with Pampers which means you could save on 63p this pack costs altogether.

The freebie only entitles you to one 37 pack though so you won’t be able to keep claiming the nappies after you’ve nabbed the deal.

They also have eco-friendly paper stems which makes them super easy and guilt free to dispose of.

There are 70 in a pack which works out to be 6p per bud.

Meanwhile Boots is selling a 200 pack also safe for babies at only 55p.

If you want to stock up the pharmacy store version works out cheaper as each bud is 2p cheaper at only 3p.

Shoppers haven’t been happy with the app in the past however, as they say the discount supermarket has made prizes “worse” on the spin wheel feature.

But if you need a break from the kids Lidl is selling a handbag that doubles up as a wine cooler, with a secret spout that can pour booze straight into your glass.

The store is also selling a pizza oven for £35, and even without discount it’s £5 cheaper than Aldi’s one.
