THIS is the moment a sweet-toothed thief caused thousands of pounds worth of damage – to steal just £200 worth of sweets.
The man was caught on CCTV repeatedly throwing a large rock at the window of American Candy shop in Bristol, just four weeks after it opened.

He repeatedly hurled the rock at the shop window until it shattered, before kicking his way inside at around 2.30am on June 3.
After sniffing around the shop, he emerged with a large bag of sweets and fled on his bike.
Shop owners Megan Stiby and Joshua Elias said the thief took £200 worth of stock and caused £4,000 worth of damage to the store windows.
The couple said he swiped a selection of Nerd items, Tango branded sweets, Hershey’s chocolate bars and Warhead ice lollies.
Megan said: “The items that he stole is quite a funny list.
“It was all the Nerd items we sell, which is understandable as these are quite popular items, Tango branded sweets, Hershey’s Gold pretzel chocolate bars and a whole box of freeze-at-home Warhead ice lollies.
“Altogether this was around £200 worth, but the damage to the window was around £4,000.”
Cops have now released CCTV in a bid to find the thief.
The couple ran their American Candy business online for two years, before deciding to take the plunge and open a high street store in early May.
Megan and Joshua said they’ve been overwhelmed with support since opening, and have discovered a real community after their ordeal.
Their boarded up window was brightened up by local artist Mr Tanner, and it’s finally now been replaced and restored.
