He was rushed to hospital but couldn’t be saved and died shortly after.
Peter’s mum has now paid tribute to the “gentleman”, who suffered from ADHD and autism.
She said: “Let me tell you about this boy/man; Peter. He was perfect from the start. He then grew into this inquisitive little person who loved to ask questions and talk about anything, loved life and was so innocent.
“His best friend was his brother, Chris, (double trouble) and has remained so with the added bonus of a boy called Lewis.

The devastated mum described her son as a “kind, loving, extremely special individual who was there for everyone”.
She also said Peter was “extremely opinionated but was our family’s voice of reason”.
The mum added: “He always was a gentleman and respectful to everyone’s needs and even his own. No matter the person in need he’d always do his best to help.
“He saw the world so differently to us but taught us that different is so much better and good.
“His dad and I and the rest of our family had the privilege to have this amazing individual person for 26 beautiful years and his brothers for all their lives.
“We are proud and thankful this sweet boy was our son/brother. Gone our darling son and brother but never forgotten. Rest In Peace.”
Peter was discovered near a lakeside footpath which forms a network of paths known locally as the Silkin Way.
Horrified locals claim teens had tried to steal his scooter when he was attacked.
They said he crawled covered in blood for help as the suspects fled the scene.
A fisherman today told The Sun Online: “We heard he was riding his motor scooter along the path when a group of lads stopped him and tried to nick it.”
The angler added: “It’s a lovely spot, it’s beautiful, but it spoils it that a murder happened here. It’s scary.
“I don’t know who the man is but heard he put up a fight when they tried to take his bike.
“He was stabbed near the heart and he crawled along the path to the houses to raise the alarm.”
Four boys – one aged 14 and three 15-year-olds – have been charged with murder.
A woman, 42, and a 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail.
Chief Inspector Helen Kinrade said: “We understand this will be extremely concerning to the community.
“We would like to reassure the public that the investigation is ongoing and this is believed to be an isolated incident.”
