The odds of winning the lotto jackpot is more than one in a million. Quite a lot more in fact. But some are ‘easier’ to win than others, thanks to the odds being in your favour.
According to the National Lottery, the chances of winning the Lotto in the UK are 1 in 45,057,474. Although entering twice will halve your odds of winning, that’s still only a very small chance of winning big.
However, Lotto draws in other parts of the world have better odds and therefore a better chance of winning.
Which is the easiest Lotto to win?
According to lottoland.co.uk, easiest lotto to win by prize is the French Lotto. This is because entrants have a 1 in 6 chance of winning a prize.
However, winning a prize doesn’t meaning winning big. It could mean just breaking evening on the price of your ticket.
For a bigger win, the Lotto with the best odds of winning is the Polish Mini Lotto.
The chances of winning the jackpot prize in the Polish Mini Lotto are 1 in 850,668 – considerably better than the 1 in 45,057,474 chances in the UK.
But, lower odds mean lower jackpot totals. The Polish Mini Lotto hits a jackpot total of around £60,000. In comparison, the Lotto jackpot in the UK on Wednesday June 14 was £2 million.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to play a Lotto if you are not currently located in that country. So if you aren’t living in Poland, you can’t buy a ticket for the Polish Mini Lotto.
Some people still take part in Lottos overseas by placing a wager on the outcome of the draw, rather than buying a ticket. This is allowed and available through certain betting sites, but the odds for winning will be different from the odds of winning the jackpot itself.
