Ex-astronaut Chris Hadfield reveals the truth behind UFO sightings

AN ex-astronaut has weighed in on footage of mysterious UFO sightings released by the US Navy.

In a recent interview, former International Space Station commander Chris Hadfield claimed that the unidentified phenomena are not the work of aliens – adding that if you think they are, you’re an idiot.

“Obviously, I’ve seen countless things in the sky that I don’t understand,” Hadfield told Canadian broadcaster CBC.

The retired astronaut was previously a pilot for both the US Navy and Royal Canadian Airforce.

“But to see something in the sky that you don’t understand and then to immediately conclude that it’s intelligent life from another solar system is the height of foolishness and lack of logic,” he added.

In the last three years the Pentagon has taken the unprecedented steps of releasing three stunning UFO videos filmed by the US Navy.

It has also confirmed the existence of its secretive UFO investigation unit.

The videos show what the Navy calls Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) buzzing around aircraft carriers off the US coast.

They exhibit no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes, but could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds, according to the pilots who filmed them.

Some experts have suggested that technologically advanced craft created by Russia or China could be behind the phenomena, while others have claimed they could be the work of aliens.

According to Hadfield, even if aliens aren’t responsible, we might not be alone in the universe.

“But definitively up to this point, we have found no evidence of life anywhere except Earth, and we’re looking,” he told the CBC.

Hadfield’s comments come days after footage emerged of what was alleged to be UFO sightings near San Diego, back in July 2019.

The video appeared to show a UFO buzz a US stealth ship near San Diego before it dove under the water.

Barack Obama said earlier this month that confirmed sightings by the military “must be taken seriously”.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio has warned that the US should take UFOs entering the country’s airspace seriously and shouldn’t “laugh them off”.

Meanwhile, two retired navy officers have issued a chilling warning that the UFOs sighted likely possess technology that was up to 1,000 years ahead of that used by the United States.

Sean Cahil – a retired US Navy Chief Master-at-Arms, told CNN: “The technology that we witnessed with the Tic-Tac was something we would not have been able to defend our forces against at the time.

“What we saw in the Tic-Tac […] is the five observables. [These] indicate a technology that outstrips our arsenal by at least 100 to 1000 years at the moment.”

The US Navy previously identified the “Tic-Tac” as an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena after failing to explain the sighting.

The now infamous “Tic Tac” incident was one of three videos of its kind released by the Pentagon last year, taken by US Navy pilots.

The Senate then commissioned a report on the issue from US intelligence which is due for release next month.

The Director of National Intelligence’s office, the highest intelligence body in the US, was given 180 days to compile the dossier – with the deadline expiring in June.
